CHAINLESS CONVEYOR INSTALLATION GUIDE

BEFORE STARTING ERECTION, select a critical starting point (Such as a building column, etc.) which can be used as a benchmark to locate the entire conveyor system correctly. Then establish track center lines. Referring to your layout drawing, plumb bob the hanger point to coincide with the requested track plate spacing. Then mount the smiling brackets or cleats to the overhead building support. Cut hanger rods to length and bolt to ceiling brackets.
LOCATE AND INSTALL CURVE ASSEMBLIES
Checking levelness and proper bracing. Hang straight track sections into position between curves. System must include support for every track joint. After gauging the track with the track tool (furnished in the equipment kit), the bolts can be tightened. brace track as required.
INSTALL DRIVE ASSEMBLY AND JET LUBRICATOR
per layout, noting direction of conveyor travel. Make sure that drive assembly is level, rigidly mounted and braced correctly. Mount the trolleys on the track and attach the trolley rod bolts to the connecting spacer rods. Turn the trolley rod bolt into the spacer rod until the rivet holes in the rod and spacer bar aligned. Assemble the split rivet in the hole and bend the rivet ends. RECHECK to make certain that the rivet has passed thru both the connecting spacer bar and the trolley of bolt at each connecting end.
As the trolleys reach the drive assembly, position the first trolley between a pair of opposing drive dogs. Pull the trolleys forward by manually turning the drive.
Use the following steps to adjust the system for and initial slack:
1. Disconnect the connecting spacer rod from the trolley at the exit end of the drive assembly.
2. Clamp the trolley against the first track plate behind the drive.
3. Tighten the conveyor by manually turning the drive.
4. Measure between the unattached spacer rod and the clamped trolley rod bolt and note the amount of overlap.
5. Remove slack by evenly turning all the track adjuster screws. Allow only enough slack for spacer rod cording around the curves.
Connect wires to drive motor so that drive dogs pull trolleys toward motor. Test run system to check full speed range and complete cycle of operation. System should be operated under normal conditions for a period of time to allow for rechecking and re-adjusting, if necessary.
